    Not to be a brat, but I'd suggest making your goal to make at least TEN offers by October 31. This is what I was encouraged to do and it worked...I did 10 offers for two weeks in row and it took 3-4 weeks before I could lock something down because the offers were so low. If you're making really lowball offers to find the motivated sellers it can take plenty of offers to get some bites...many won't bother to respond to your "offensive" offer and a small number will counteroffer and show at least a little motivation to sell...then you'll hit gold.
